Switch One Design: 2026 Globals and Youth Global Championships at Lake Garda
The International Switch One Design Class will hold its 2026 Global Championship and Global Youth Championships on Lake Garda in October, with the open event at Circolo Vela Torbole and the youth event at Fraglia Vela Malcesine.
2026 Global Championship (open)
Dates: 8–11 October 2026
Venue: Circolo Vela Torbole, Lake Garda
Note: The event was relocated from the originally announced Genoa to Torbole.
This is the class’s premier open title, bringing together the international fleet for a strict one-design foiling championship.
2026 Global Youth Championships
Dates: 15–18 October 2026
Venue: Fraglia Vela Malcesine, Lake Garda
Context: Run alongside the FIV Italian Youth Open Foiling Championships.
The youth event focuses on the next generation of foiling sailors, using the same one-design Switch platform as the open championship.
Event format
Both championships use a standard fleet-racing format with multiple races per day, consistent with other major Switch regattas such as the Switch Global Championships at Fraglia Vela Malcesine in previous years.
