New to the Team: Lisa Farthofer Takes on the Role of SWITCH Class Manager

The International Switch Class Association is pleased to welcome Lisa Farthofer as its new SWITCH Class Manager.
With a background in sailing and rowing, Lisa joins the Class at an important stage of its development. Her role will support the continued growth of the international SWITCH community, strengthen communication across the Class, and help build momentum around the key events ahead.
“The SWITCH Class has a clear and exciting vision — creating a modern, accessible and genuinely international foiling community. I am looking forward to working with sailors, organisers, partners and national class associations to help bring that vision to life.”
A key focus for the coming Olympic cycle will be promoting the SWITCH Class and developing a strong local, natonal and
international racing pathway. The SWITCH Globals will sit at the centre of that work, bringing sailors from across the world together and providing an important platform to showcase the Class on the international stage.
The objective is to grow awareness of the SWITCH Class, create excitement around its major events and support sailors at every level — from those entering high-performance foiling for the first time to experienced international competitors.
With its focus on accessible, high-performance one-design racing and a growing international calendar, the SWITCH Class continues to build a global and inclusive community. The appointment marks another step forward as the Class looks towards the Globals and the opportunities of the next Olympic cycle.
